Patchwork Riot — Handcrafted Linocut Snowboard
A bold, one-of-a-kind snowboard forged in a single day by Alaina and Mattie — one of three pieces created in the same session. AFEVE-R-DREAM supplied the board, paints, and brushes, and helped lay the foundation: a meditative sunset gradient that flows from warm yellow into deep red. From there, Mattie and the Kitties took over, layering a full patchwork of designs that spills across the deck with confident, driven energy.
Every print — skulls, beetles, curious cats, and more — is rendered in Mattie’s signature linocut print style, giving each element a tactile, handcrafted look. The repeated prints form a mosaic of personality: playful where it’s mischievous, raw where it’s fierce, and contemplative where it’s delicate. The linocut textures pop against the sunset background, creating high-contrast movement that reads equally well as wall art. This can be made into a functional ride for an additional $80 to repair damage and add a topcoat for durability.
